Geobio Boo about me: I'm a Junior at UC Berkeley primarily studying computer science, and enjoy working with Android, network security, mobile development, and other assorted computer-y things. This past summer, I worked at A2Z Development Center (a subsidiary of Amazon.com) and built an automation testing framework for Amazon MP3 on Android. This coming summer, I will be working at Google working on the Android team. In my free time I'm making an app for old/cheap/damaged Android phones to be used as a cheap GPS tracking devices. By sending location info over prepaid text messages, it's possible to avoid needing a monthly data plan. I plan on installing this in my moped and wiring it up to the main electrical system so the phone stays charged, but more importantly, this project is just to keep my programming skills sharp. Aside from my career interest in software development, I'm an enthusiast in network/web security and use Burp and Wireshark to find security vulnerabilities (including one at bankofamerica.com which they have yet to patch, and yes I did report it). I also enjoy fixing things, and recently disassembled and soldered my laptop to install a Logitech USB receiver inside the laptop (because I don't like it sticking out the side). All in all, I disassemble, modify, and fix lots of electrical things, and only electrocuted myself once! Typically, I zip around on my zippy moped, but when I'm feeling athletic, I enjoy road bicycling throughout the Bay area, and also go indoor rock climbing on Friday. Recently, I started hang gliding with the Berkeley Hang Gliding Club, and later this semester, I'll be biking from Embarcadero to Tiburon. I also hope to pick up outdoor rock climbing again! my resume: in progress: Website development is stalled since I have little motivation to make it fancy.
